The Newton County Academy Generals triumphed over the visiting Grace Christian Eagles baseball squad by a score of 21-1 in Friday's non-league game.
The Generals (4-7) will now prepare for their game against Laurel Christian (Laurel, MS). The Lions enter the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Laurel Christian was overwhelmed by Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS), 15-0, in a league game.
Next, the Eagles face the Calhoun Academy Cougars (Calhoun City, MS) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 25. Grace Christian will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 5-7 record after their 16-1 non-league loss to Central Holmes Christian (Lexington, MS).
