The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Mesquite Skeeters (Mesquite, TX) and the visiting Horn Jaguars (Mesquite, TX), saw Mesquite's baseball team gain a win over Horn by a tally of 6-1.

The Skeeters (14-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill, TX). The Longhorns enter the 6A Region II District 11 battle with a 13-2 record. In their last battle, Cedar Hill held off Lancaster (Lancaster, TX), 16-4, in a league battle.

Next, the Jaguars face the Waxahachie Indians (Waxahachie, TX) in a 6A Region II District 11 battle, on Tuesday, March 25. Horn will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 7-8 record after their 9-4 league win over Duncanville (Duncanville, TX).
