In Friday's league game, the host West Wilkes Blackhawks baseball team scored a nice 12-2 win over the North Wilkes Vikings.
The Blackhawks (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks go into the non-league game with a 3-7 record. In their last game, Elkin was overwhelmed by East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 5-2, in a league game.
Next, the Vikings play the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) in a Foothills 2A game, on Tuesday, March 25. North Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 3-8 record after their 7-4 league loss to East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC).
