The Torres Toros (Madera, CA) baseball trounced the visiting Sunnyside Wildcats (Fresno, CA), 9-3 in Friday's league challenge.

The Toros now own a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roosevelt for a North Yosemite challenge on Saturday, March 22. Torres will clash with a Rough Riders team coming off a 15-4 non-league win over Firebaugh (Firebaugh, CA). The Rough Riders record now stands at 9-2.

With the defeat, Sunnyside drops to 2-6 on the year. The Wildcats host McLane (Fresno, CA) to clash with the Highlanders in a North Yosemite challenge on Monday, March 24. The Highlanders go into the challenge with a record of 6-5. McLane won 12-4 in their recent league challenge against Madera South (Madera, CA)
