In Friday's league bout, the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Tylertown Chiefs (Tylertown, MS), by a tally of 21-2.
Next up, the Trojans encounter the Perry Central Bulldogs (New Augusta, MS) in a 3A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, March 25. West Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 5-9 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS).
The Chiefs (7-6) will now prepare for their bout against St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, MS). The Rock-a-Chaws enter the 3A Region 8 bout with a 11-7 record. In their last bout, St. Stanislaus was overwhelmed by Petal (Petal, MS), 16-4, in a non-league bout.
