The Royal Highlanders baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Simi Valley Pioneers to 1 in the Highlanders league win on Friday.
The Highlanders now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Rio Mesa for a non-league test on Thursday, March 27. Royal will play a Spartans team coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-5.
With the defeat, Simi Valley drops to 1-1 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Canyon (Canyon Country, CA) to play the Cowboys in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. The Cowboys go into the test with a record of 4-8. Canyon won 18-5 in their recent non-league test against Tehachapi (Tehachapi, CA)
