Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Shelby moves its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Golden Lions host East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A test on Tuesday, March 25. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 3-3. East Gaston won 9-0 in their recent league test against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC)

The Cavaliers now sport a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chase for a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A test on Thursday, March 27.
