The Highline Pirates softball team scored 7 runs and held the host Mercer Island Islanders to 5 in the Pirates non-league win on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chief Sealth for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 22. Highline will confront a Seahawks team coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Ballard (Seattle, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Mercer Island moves to 0-2 on the season. The Islanders host Juanita (Kirkland, WA) to confront the Ravens in a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 26. The Ravens come into the battle with a record of 2-1.
