Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Nelson County advances its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Governors host Graham (Bluefield, VA) to clash with the G-Men in a non-league test on Saturday, March 29. The G-Men come into the test with a record of 1-0.

The Lancers now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Liberty Christian for a Seminole test on Friday, March 28. Amherst County will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.
