Texas High School Softball - Hawkins bounces Alba-Golden

The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) and the visiting Alba-Golden Panthers (Alba, TX), observed Hawkins's softball team get by Alba-Golden by a tally of 7-2.

The Hawks (9-8) will now prepare for their bout against Cumby (Cumby, TX). The Trojans go into the 2A Region III District 17 bout with a 1-9 record. In their last bout, Cumby was routed by Como-Pickton (Como, TX), 20-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Martins Mill Mustangs (Ben Wheeler, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Alba-Golden will attempt to advance on its 10-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 11-7 non-league win over Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX).
