North Carolina High School Softball - Alleghany defeated by East Wilkes

The Alleghany Trojans softball squad (Sparta, NC), was routed 11-1 in Friday's league contest with the host East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC)

With the triumph, East Wilkes improves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Cardinals travel to North Stokes (Danbury, NC) to face the Vikings in a Northwest 1A contest on Tuesday, March 25. The Vikings enter the contest with a record of 3-3. North Stokes won 20-2 in their recent league contest against Alleghany (Sparta, NC)

The Trojans now hold a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Elkin for a Northwest 1A contest on Tuesday, March 25. Alleghany will face a Buckin' Elks squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Buckin' Elks record now stands at 3-6.
