The crowd at Friday's league bout between the East Bernard Brahmas (East Bernard, TX) and the visiting Hempstead Bobcats (Hempstead, TX), observed East Bernard's softball team prevail over Hempstead by a tally of 17-1.

The Brahmas (11-7) will now prepare for their bout against Hitchcock (Hitchcock, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region III District 24 bout with a 10-4 record. In their last bout, Hitchcock was routed by Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX), 12-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the Boling Bulldogs (Boling, TX) in a 3A Region III District 24 bout, on Tuesday, March 25. Hempstead will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 10-3 league loss to Brazos (Wallis, TX).
