North Carolina High School Softball - Hayesville bested by Hiwassee Dam

March 21, 2025: Murphy, NC 28906

The Hiwassee Dam Eagles triumphed over the visiting Hayesville Yellowjackets softball squad by a count of 11-1 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Eagles play the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge, on Tuesday, March 25. Hiwassee Dam will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Black Knights enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 15-0 league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC).

The Yellowjackets (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Maroon Devils enter the Smoky Mountain 1A challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Swain County overcame Murphy (Murphy, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.
