The Manila Lions softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Marked Tree Indians to 4 in the Lions non-league win on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cross County for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 22. Manila will confront a Thunderbirds team coming off a 23-1 league win over Corning (Corning, AR). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Marked Tree moves to 1-2 on the season. The Indians travel to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR) to confront the Hornets in a non-league battle on Monday, March 31. The Hornets come into the battle with a record of 7-3. Harrisburg won 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Trumann (Trumann, AR)
