The McLeod Longhorns softball squad (McLeod, TX), was edged 22-21 in Friday's league contest with the visiting Pewitt Brahmas (Omaha, TX)

With the triumph, Pewitt improves its record to 5-7 on the year. The Brahmas host Linden-Kildare (Linden, TX) to face the Tigers in a 2A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, March 25. The Tigers enter the contest with a record of 9-8. Linden-Kildare lost 5-4 in their recent non-league contest against Detroit (Detroit, TX)

The Longhorns now hold a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Maud for a 2A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, March 25. McLeod will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 17-7 non-league loss to Rivercrest (Bogata, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 13-3.
