South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC), 11-8 in a league game.

With the triumph, South Columbus upgrades its record to 3-3 on the year. The Stallions host East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC) to play the Gators in a Waccamaw 1A/2A game on Tuesday, March 25. The Gators enter the game with a record of 8-2. East Columbus won 9-5 in their recent league game against East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC)

The Patriots now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hobbton for a non-league game on Monday, March 24. Pender will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-6.
