Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC), 6-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Richlands improves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC) to face the Bulldogs in a Coastal 3A game on Tuesday, March 25. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 5-4.

The Pirates now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they host West Craven for a non-league game on Monday, March 24. Swansboro will face a Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Washington (Washington, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-7.
