The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV) and the visiting John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV), saw Weir's baseball team get by John Marshall by a tally of 2-1.

The Red Riders (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV). The Golden Bears enter the Freelance battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Oak Glen was tipped by Brooke (Wellsburg, WV), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
