Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Woodruff Wolverines (Woodruff, SC), 5-4 in a league test.

With the win, Union County upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Clinton (Clinton, SC) to battle the Red Devils in a AAA Region 3 test on Thursday, March 24. The Red Devils come into the test with a record of 2-1. Clinton lost 6-4 in their recent league battle against Broome (Spartanburg, SC)

The Wolverines now possess a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laurens for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 23.
