In Tuesday's league test, the host Topsail Pirates lacrosse squad scored a tight 17-11 victory over the Ashley Screaming Eagle.

The Pirates now have a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Brunswick for a Mideastern test on Friday, March 25. Topsail will face a Scorpions squad coming off a 13-0 league win over Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 1-6.

In their next game, the Screaming Eagle face the Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, March 23. Ashley will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 6-2 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to Millbrook (Raleigh, NC).
