The Ashley Screaming Eagle soccer team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Topsail Pirates to 1 in the Screaming Eagle league victory on Tuesday.

Next, the Screaming Eagle face the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A contest, on Thursday, March 24. Ashley will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Buccaneers enter the contest with a 6-0 record after their 9-0 league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).

The Pirates now have a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A contest on Thursday, March 24. Topsail will face a Scorpions team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 1-4.
