South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), 6-3 in a league test.

With the win, South Caldwell upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans host Freedom (Morganton, NC) to battle the Patriots in a test on Friday, March 25. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 2-4. Freedom lost 12-2 in their recent league test against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)

With the defeat, Watauga falls to 0-4 on the season. The Pioneers host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to battle the Cougars in a test on Friday, March 25. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 4-4. Alexander Central won 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)
