Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Battle Ground Academy Wildcats (Franklin, TN), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 24.
With the loss, Battle Ground Academy falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to St. Cecilia Academy (Nashville, TN) to battle the Scarabs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 23. The Scarabs enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. St. Cecilia Academy lost 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Lipscomb Academy (Nashville, TN)
