In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY), by a margin of 17-4.

With the triumph, Blazer moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Tomcats travel to Rowan County (Morehead, KY) to play the Vikings in a non-league contest on Thursday, March 24. The Vikings come into the contest with a record of 3-1. Rowan County won 11-10 in their recent non-league contest against Jackson City (Jackson, KY)

In their next game, the Red Devils play the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 25. Russell will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 17-12 non-league loss to Blazer (Ashland, KY).
