Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), 20-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now sport a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Tombstone for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 26. Cobre will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 23-2 league loss to Morenci (Morenci, AZ). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Chaparral falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Lobos host Tularosa (Tularosa, NM) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 29. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
