Signal Mountain Eagles (Signal Mountain, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Chattanooga Central Pounders (Harrison, TN), 22-4 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hixson for a 3A District 6 challenge on Thursday, March 24. Signal Mountain will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Chattanooga Central falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Pounders host Tyner Academy (Chattanooga, TN) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 24. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Tyner Academy lost 15-9 in their recent league challenge against Polk County (Benton, TN)
