Uintah Utes (Vernal, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Cottonwood Colts (Salt Lake City, UT), 20-0 in a league challenge.

The Utes now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cedar Valley for a 5A Region 7 challenge on Friday, March 25. Uintah will battle a Aviators squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, UT). The Aviators record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Cottonwood falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Colts host Stansbury (Stansbury Park, UT) to battle the Stallions in a 5A Region 7 challenge on Thursday, March 24. The Stallions enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Stansbury won 13-3 in their recent league challenge against Payson (Payson, UT)
