Monterey Dores (Monterey, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Everett Alvarez Eagles (Salinas, CA), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Dores now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Monterey County for a PCAL - Gabilan challenge on Thursday, March 24. Monterey will face a Condors squad coming off a 6-5 league win over St. Francis (Watsonville, CA). The Condors record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Everett Alvarez falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Carmel (Carmel, CA) to face the Padres in a PCAL - Mission challenge on Thursday, March 24. The Padres enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. Carmel won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Santa Catalina (Monterey, CA)
