Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA), 10-1 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Grayson County for a Mountain Empire challenge on Friday, March 25. Fort Chiswell will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 18-0 non-league win over Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, George Wythe falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Graham (Bluefield, VA) to battle the G-Men in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 24. The G-Men enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Graham lost 12-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA)
