Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ingleside Mustangs (Ingleside, TX), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Buccaneers now sport a 15-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sinton for a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, March 25. Miller will face a Pirates squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Calhoun (Port Lavaca, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Ingleside falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX) to face the Pirates in a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, March 25. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 18-5. Rockport-Fulton won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Jones (Beeville, TX)
