Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC), 7-5 in a league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to A.L. Brown for a Greater Metro 4A challenge on Friday, March 25. Mooresville will battle a Wonders squad coming off a 13-6 non-league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Wonders record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, West Cabarrus falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC) to battle the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 24. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 5-3. Porter Ridge lost 5-1 in their recent league game against Piedmont (Monroe, NC)
