The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the visiting Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC), saw Porter Ridge's soccer squad knock off Central Academy by a count of 3-0.
The Pirates now hold a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Butler for a non-league test on Thursday, March 23. Porter Ridge will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Central Academy drops to 2-6 on the season. The Cougars host Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to meet the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Friday, March 24. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 4-2. Cuthbertson won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Covenant Day (Matthews, NC)
