Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 3-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Storm confront the Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 23. Willow Spring will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 3-2 league loss to Green Level (Cary, NC).

The Comets now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host South Garner for a Greater Neuse River 4A challenge on Monday, March 27. Clayton will confront a Titans team coming off a 2-1 league win over Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC). The Titans record now stands at 1-9.
