The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) and the visiting Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA), saw Jefferson Forest's softball squad nip Appomattox County by a count of 10-6.

The Cavaliers now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Randolph-Henry for a non-league match on Thursday, March 23. Jefferson Forest will face a Statesmen squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Statesmen record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Appomattox County falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Altavista (Altavista, VA) to face the Colonels in a non-league match on Friday, March 24. The Colonels enter the match with a record of 0-2.
