Skyline Hawks (Front Royal, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Sherando Warriors (Stephens City, VA), 9-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to James Wood for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27.

With the loss, Sherando falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 28. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
