The Page Pirates (Greensboro, NC) softball routed the visiting Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC), 18-0 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Pirates (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against Grimsley (Greensboro, NC). The Whirlies go into the Metro 4A bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Grimsley was routed by Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC), 10-0, in a league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Northern Guilford for a Metro 4A bout on Friday, March 24. Western Guilford will confront a Nighthawks squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Page (Greensboro, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 6-4.
