Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones (Springfield, IL), 12-9 in a league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host MacArthur for a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, March 28.

With the loss, Sacred Heart-Griffin drops to 0-2 on the year. The Cyclones host Normal Community (Normal, IL) to clash with the Ironmen in a non-league game on Monday, March 27. The Ironmen come into the game with a record of 0-4. Normal Community lost 16-1 in their recent non-league game against Glenwood (Chatham, IL)
