North Carolina High School Baseball - Southwest Guilford sneaks past Northern Guilford

Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC) and the host Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC), saw Southwest Guilford's baseball squad edge Northern Guilford by a count of 4-3.

Coming up next, the Cowboys play the Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 28. Southwest Guilford will attempt to move on its 9-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 11-6 league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC).

The Nighthawks now possess a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Heritage for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 26. Northern Guilford will play a Huskies squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 6-4.
