Bayport-Blue Point Phantoms (Bayport, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the visiting Wantagh Warriors (Wantagh, NY), 8-7 in a non-league test.

The Phantoms now have a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westhampton Beach for a Section 11 II test on Monday, March 25. Bayport-Blue Point will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 15-7 non-league win over Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-0.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Garden City Trojans (Garden City, NY) in a Section 8 B - League 2 test, on Wednesday, March 27. Wantagh will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 2-0 record after their 13-5 non-league win over Mount Sinai (Mount Sinai, NY).
