Alexander Bulldogs (Laredo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host United Longhorns (Laredo, TX), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 14-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eagle Pass for a 6A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Alexander will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Del Rio (Del Rio, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 14-6.

With the loss, United falls to 15-10 on the campaign. The Longhorns host United South (Laredo, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 6A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-17. United South lost 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX)
