Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Cedar Creek Eagles (Cedar Creek, TX), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Georgetown for a 5A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Bastrop will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 11-0 league win over East View (Georgetown, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 21-6.

With the loss, Cedar Creek falls to 9-14 on the campaign. The Eagles host Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-15. Pflugerville lost 19-6 in their recent league challenge against Elgin (Elgin, TX)
