Texas High School Softball - Hutto nudges Bryan

Hutto Hippos (Hutto, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bryan Vikings (Bryan, TX), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Hippos now own a 16-11 record. They take the field next when they host Weiss for a 6A Region II District 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. Hutto will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to Midway (Waco, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 10-13.

With the loss, Bryan falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX) to battle the Bulldawgs in a 6A Region II District 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Bulldawgs enter the challenge with a record of 12-4. Copperas Cove won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Temple (Temple, TX)
