The Grapeland Sandies routed the visiting Oakwood Panthers softball squad by a final score of 16-1 in Friday's league battle.

The Sandies (5-13) will now prepare for their battle against Slocum (Elkhart, TX). The Mustangs go into the 1A Region IV District 25 bout with a 0-6 record. In their last bout, Slocum was routed by Latexo (Latexo, TX), 8-1, in a league bout.

The Panthers now possess a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Latexo for a 1A Region IV District 25 bout on Tuesday, March 26. Oakwood will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Centerville (Centerville, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 15-9.
