Texas High School Softball - Hawkins gets by Overton

The Hawkins Hawks got by the visiting Overton Mustangs softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Friday's league battle.

The Hawks (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ore City (Ore City, TX). The Rebels go into the 1A Region III District 19 battle with a 4-18 record.

The Mustangs now sport a 13-8 record. They play next when they host Union Hill for a 1A Region III District 19 battle on Tuesday, March 26. Overton will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 18-2 league loss to Carlisle (Price, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-6.
