Madison Central Indians (Richmond, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Madison Southern Eagles (Berea, KY), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they host Frederick Douglass for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 25. Madison Central will battle a Broncos squad coming off a 11-4 league loss to Scott County (Georgetown, KY). The Broncos record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Madison Southern falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Somerset (Somerset, KY) to battle the Briar Jumpers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 23. The Briar Jumpers enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Somerset lost 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against South Laurel (London, KY)
