San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX), 12-7 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 15-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Permian for a 6A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 26. San Angelo Central will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Midland Legacy falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Frenship (Wolfforth, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 6A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-6.
