The Troup Tigers softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host West Rusk Raiders to 2 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Troup improves its record to 14-6 on the year. The Tigers travel to Arp (Arp, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 16 game on Tuesday, March 26. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 15-9. Arp lost 8-7 in their recent league game against Tatum (Tatum, TX)

In their next game, the Raiders clash with the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 game, on Tuesday, March 26. West Rusk will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the game with a 5-17 record after their 19-3 league win over Waskom (Waskom, TX).
