The crowd at Saturday's league battle between the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) and the visiting Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX), saw Amarillo's baseball team beat Plainview by a margin of 14-3.

The Sandies (12-8) will now prepare for their battle against Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Longhorns enter the 5A Region I District 3 battle with a 0-17 record. In their last battle, Caprock was overwhelmed by Monterey (Lubbock, TX), 8-3, in a league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 3 battle, on Tuesday, March 25. Plainview will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 13-9 record after their 5-4 league loss to Coronado (Lubbock, TX).
