Covington Lions (Covington, LA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA), 4-0 in a league match.

With the triumph, Covington advances its record to 13-7 on the season. The Lions travel to Central Private (Baker, LA) to battle the Redhawks in a non-league match on Thursday, March 27. The Redhawks come into the match with a record of 12-11.

The Skippers now have a 12-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hammond for a 5A District 6 match on Tuesday, March 25. Mandeville will battle a Tornadoes squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to St. Paul's (Covington, LA). The Tornadoes record now stands at 4-17.
