The Lafayette Lancers baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Rogers Heritage War Eagles to 3 in the Lancers non-league win on Saturday.
The Lancers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Chaminade for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 26.
With the defeat, Rogers Heritage drops to 4-2 on the year. The War eagles host Bentonville West (Centerton, AR) to play the Wolverines in a 6A West test on Monday, April 7. The Wolverines go into the test with a record of 2-4.
